Sharon is now supporting the ‘Centre for Mental Health’

Sharon is now spending some of her time acting as ‘Program Manager’ for a national charity i.e the ‘Centre for Mental Health’. Some of you may recognise it under it’s previous title as the ‘Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health’.  The Centre was established in 1985 and it works with policy and research to help improve the mental health of employees nationally. The Centre for mental health offers training to raise employee’s awareness of common mental health in the workplace. The centre also offers training for Managers to spot the early warning signs of common mental health problems and then intervene to support employees in the workplace. THE PSYCHOLOGY OF LEADERSHIP  :  RAISING YOUR GAME

This highly participative programme uses participants own learning goals and organisational scenarios to explore various aspects of leadership The Emphasis is on helping leaders to understand the impact that their own personal drivers and personality have on their leadership style. The course uses a mixture of group sessions and one-to-one coaching to ensure that each candidate achieves the maximum learning from the event. The event is only delivered to a small group of participants in order to ensure that individual learning goals are met.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Managers, Professionals and Executives who want to achieve more by learning how to build winning relationships and how to get the most out of others. It is for those leaders who are keen to maximise their effectiveness and become excellent leaders. Participants will:

* Achieve a greater understanding of themselves and the impact this has on their leadership style

* Be better able to motivate, develop and gain buy-in from other people

* Be able to utilise a wider range of leadership and influencing styles

* Have a more positive impact on the performance, motivation, job satisfaction and self-esteem of their staff

CONTENT

* 3 Days face to face training

* 4 one-to-one coaching sessions

* Psychometric Leadership profile

DAY ONE

Flexing Your Leadership Style. This day includes: discussion and exercises around the different leadership styles. Looks at the impact that individual personality has on preferred style. Provides practice in using the skill of ‘Reflection’ and explores the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership. Concludes with an action planning session to practice different leadership styles and a follow up coaching session two weeks later to review progress and findings.

DAY TWO

Creating Winning Relationships. This day starts with a review of the previous module and the opportunity to share learning experiences of practicing leadership styles. This module goes on to look at : building excellent relationships and managing conflict, coaching skills, creating rapport through language and gesture and active listening skills. This day concludes with an action planning session and a coaching session two weeks later to review progress and refine learning goals.

DAY THREE

Managing Your Organisational Impact. This module commences with a review of the previous module and the opportunity to share learning experiences. It then goes on to look at: engaging and motivating staff, creating a vision of success, decision making and the extent to which personality impacts on the extent to which we take risks. This day concludes with an action planning session and a coaching session two weeks later to review progress against goals and action plan for the future.

Venues

This course is currently delivered at two venues in Tameside, the Broadoak Hotel and Katherine Cavendish House. Both venues are close to the motorway and have free parking. Alternatively, the course could be delivered on your premises which potentially saves you both money and time.

Costs

We appreciate that these are difficult economic times for everyone so we will not charge you any VAT on courses within this financial year.

The total cost of each course is £1,500 per person (no overnight accommodation provided). 66% business link funding may be available for North West companies who have between 5 and 999 employees.
